Jenny Davis

Romans 8:28

When I was seven years old, I snuck up into the hayloft of my family's barn and met my BFF Nancy Drew. She solved mysteries AND she drove a convertible. I thought she was the epitome of awesome. Nancy had a limited number of adventures to share with me. So, after reading all of hers, I started to write my own.

In 1993, when I was a sophomore in college, The Chronicles of the Great Oak series started rattling around in my  head. Over the last thirty years, it kept growing more and more...even waking me up at night to introduce new characters or divulge new twists and turns. Each time it would try to rise up with the desire to be shared, I'd stuff it back down, telling it that I did not have the time. I had a family. I had a full-time job. I had too many responsibilities.

As a critical care nurse, I've watched too many people over the years leave this world with regret and "unfinished business". In the midst of working during the Covid-19 pandemic, I finally decided I wasn't going to let this story series be part of mine.
